How Bandits Abducted Dozens of Nigeria’s School Pupils in Night Raid

 

The daredevil bandits, in the middle of the night, stormed the School’s premises, which has over 1000 pupils, overpowered the security guard, before whisking away the students at gunpoint.

 

Details have emerged on how Armed bandits, in a midnight raid, abducted dozens of pupils at Government Science College (GSC) Kagara, in Niger State. North-central Nigeria.

The bandits in military uniforms, stormed the school premises which has close to 1000 students on Tuesday night, an Eyewitness account showed.

It added that the bandits overpowered the security guard, before whisking away the students at gunpoint.

“Sound of gunfire woke some of the pupils from their sleep, they scampered for safety as the daredevil bandits, in the middle of the night, overpowered the security guard, before whisking dozens of them away at gunpoint,” Mohammed Kagara, who said he witnessed the kidnapping, said.

However, some students escaped after the raid.

A headcount was conducted at the school in the wee hours of Wednesday to ascertain the actual number of missing students.

It was also gathered that security agencies were able to detect the coordinate and nature of the area, and have started tracing the bandits’ movement while NAF aircrafts have been seen hovering in the air to track the location of the students.
